THE GREEN, GREEN GRASS OF HOME

Wow!

Eat your heart out Wembley...Edgeley Park's playing surface looks amazing as we count down the days of pre-season till the big kick off, doesn't it?

Props to head groundsman Liam Cash - he's done an incredible job with the playing surface.

Cashy is now cutting the pitch six  days a week and says it is bang on schedule for the upcoming friendlies.

It’s not been easy either. The playing surface has been hit hard with disease not once but twice, by an infection which is quite common and known as 'leafspot'.
"We've had to monitor it carefully and spray the pitch as soon as we see signs of it creeping in," he reveals on the club website.
